On the occasion of World Poetry Day, volunteers from the Wishes and Blessings volunteering wing- Squad for Change<\/a> were invited to share their original poems on ‘Equality’. Here are the shortlisted entries!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

‘Equality’<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

It is equality when you work with her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is equality when she drives the\ngroup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is fairness to see her, think her and\ncall her the chief. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is correspondence when she advances\nher achievements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is correspondence to pay her\nequivalent to him for a similar work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is without a doubt fairness when you\ngive her acknowledgment for that splendid thought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is absolutely fairness to concede she\nis more able so she lands the position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is fairness when she has an\nassessment and is certain to spread the word about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is correspondence when choosing for\nherself is standard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is correspondence when inclination\nand generalizations at this point don’t characterize her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is balance when her accomplishments\nare no longer firsts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is balance when she is all around\naddressed in basic regions of concern. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is certainly fairness to approach her\nwith deference and pride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is totally equity to battle close by\nher for harmony and equity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is genuine equity to be her allies,\nuphold her future straightforwardly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is doubtlessly fairness for her to recover\nand occupy environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not simply a lady, not simply a young\nlady, not on the grounds that she is your mom or spouse, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not similarly as your sister or your\naunt, not on the grounds that she is your girl, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, as the exceptionally apparent,\nundeniable Human that she is in this age and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ages more to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fundamental piece of an aggregate\nentire, we as a whole need to all the more likely maintain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every one liable, each one acting\ndeliberately, Each one taking care of business, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An age for equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White, yellow , brown and black are the\ncolours of the skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That are being perceived by our eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While prejudice made in our minds is the commencement of a sin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I question does really equality exist?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He left the home at nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But her nocturnal homecoming wasn\u2019t fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I question does really equality exist? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her lean waist is adorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But why her curves are not loveable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I question does really equality exist?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wow !! He secured JEE rank one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want you to crack it too and soon get it\ndone <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Dad, see the international cricket trophy yesterday our team had won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I question does really equality exist?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So wholeheartedly be yourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And don\u2019t be scared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because we weren\u2019t just born to be compared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sitting\nhere thinking of Quality<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My\nthought ponders upon the state of Equality <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another\nyear came to an end<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m\ngetting older, Equality also seems to bend<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She\nwore a wreath of roses around her head<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we\nall gave it a painful death<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nmodern world is indeed fast<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\nthe real world that we ignore<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lies\nwith huge contrasts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our\nforefathers gave her a tough fight<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nsituation still is in plight<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ncolour of blue still comes through <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nhappy colour seems to be rare<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nclose my eyes-and it is there<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\nstarving kid, A debilitating mom, A penurious man<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An\noppressed family, A harassed woman, A faltering man<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing\ndeterioration of Equality in a day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I try\nto keep my emotions at bay<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nclose my mind and walk ahead<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nshadow those eyes from the dread<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping\nthe future thoughts in my mind<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m\nnot stopping that living grind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
