FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Section 80G of the Income Tax Act provides a special provision that allows taxpayers to avail deductions on charitable donations made to registered non-profit charitable organisations. These donations can be deducted from your taxable income when filing your income tax return, making it an excellent opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the community while benefiting from tax relief.
However, please note that donations made to charitable organisations that are not registered under Section 80G are not eligible for tax exemption.

When you donate to a registered charity/NGO under Section 80G, your donation amount is deducted from your taxable income. This helps reduce your overall tax liability. Registered NGOs, like Wishes and Blessings, issue tax receipts to help you claim these benefits.
For example, if your taxable income is ₹7,00,000 and you donate ₹10,000, your taxable income will be reduced to ₹6,90,000, and your tax will be calculated on this new reduced income.

All donations made to Wishes and Blessings are eligible for a 50% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Wishes and Blessings is registered under the act with registration number (DEL-WE25148-13082014) and has been approved by the Income Tax Department.
Once you make a donation, we will issue a certificate under Section 80G with a receipt that can be used when filing your income tax return (ITR). This receipt helps reduce your tax liability by 50% of the donation amount.

There is no minimum donation amount required to qualify for tax exemption under Section 80G.

Your generous contributions support a range of life-changing initiatives, including:

  • - Education: Sponsoring school fees, books, and educational resources for underprivileged children.
  • - Nutrition: Providing daily meals to homeless individuals, orphanages, and old age homes through our Daily Meals Programme.
  • - Elderly Care: Offering shelter, medical assistance, and companionship to abandoned elders at Mann Ka Tilak.
  • - Relief Efforts: Providing urgent aid during disasters, including food, medical supplies, and rehabilitation support.
  • - Skill Development Programme: Supporting skill-building workshops and employment opportunities for marginalised women.

Your donation ensures direct, tangible impact, helping those in need lead dignified and fulfilling lives.

As per the revised Income Tax rules, cash donations above ₹2,000 are not eligible for a Section 80G certificate. In the interest of transparency and accountability, Wishes and Blessings does not accept cash donations.

Yes, we issue tax receipts for every donation made. These receipts will be emailed to the contact details you provide and sent via WhatsApp. This receipt serves as proof for the deduction under Section 80G when filing your income tax return.
