Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.”

Every year over 160 million people are affected by natural disasters across the world. While most victims only have survival on their minds in the immediate aftermath of the disaster, substantial efforts are required to rehabilitate and reintegrate them into society. Wishes and Blessings extends a warm pair of helping hands to those who have borne the brunt of nature’s wrath to provide both immediate as well as long-term relief.
In the face of natural disasters and/or severe adversities, we offer our support and resources to all those in need by means of two specific projects.

Realising the value of timely response in situations of natural disaster, Wishes and Blessings is prepared to undertake immediate disaster relief aid work in the face of adversities. By mobilising our network of supporters and volunteers, we are capable of responding to any distress call within a period of 24 hours.
In the past, Wishes and Blessings has been actively involved in supporting four major emergency relief efforts- Kashmir, Nepal, Chennai and Bihar. In each of these projects, we have reached out to the victims and survivors of calamities and collectively provided relief to over 15,000 people by mobilising and distributing over 10,000 kilograms of relief aid.
Each year hundreds of homeless people succumb to the harshness of the Delhi winter. Although the government has taken steps to construct shelters for the homeless, most of them are not equipped to provide any respite to its inhabitants. As a result, every winter, Wishes and Blessings undertakes the project “10 Fridays-10 Drives”, wherein for 10 consecutive Fridays from mid-December to mid-February, we distribute items that bring warmth among the homeless.
Ranging from socks and gloves to shawls and blankets, a team of dedicated volunteers personally hand out these items to the homeless living in shelters and pavements. We also distribute food items that bring warmth and smiles on the faces of the homeless people.
Become a volunteer and bring warmth and smiles on the faces of the homeless people. Watch out for more details on the 2017-18 Winter Drive.
