In this Modern and fast-moving world we sometimes neglect to offer our hand to those who cannot think of fulfilling basic needs of life. We sometimes become too self-centred and just care about ourselves.

Each child in this world deserves the appropriate premises to make a great life for himself/ herself.
I visited the Coolie Camp today, as an intern with Wishes and Blessings for a kite-making workshop. There were around 40 kids for the workshop and there was an excitement inside each one of them on seeing us there. It actually was heartwarming to see how you could be so special for someone you met for the first time. The air there was filled with positivity and purity. The children I met have been subjected to harsh and cruel times since their very birth. In spite of this brutality faced by them, I was amazed when I interacted with them. They have indeed managed to make so much of the minimal resources offered to them. From having a complete knowledge to communicating in English, from dancing to singing, from having moral values to high ambitions, these children were outstanding. It was so surprising to see these kids with so many talents.

On interacting with a few of them I did discover how these kids dream big and at the same time are ready to put in their heart and soul to achieve those. It was a great time for me to actually sit with the children, make kites with them and decorate them. I wish these children receive more of such opportunities to create the lives they wish to and at the same time get the happiness they deserve too. Hence I would like to request everyone to come forward, maybe get associated with this NGO or any other platform, and lend whatever help they can to promote this noble cause. It will always be a memorable experience for me and I would love to do more social work along with this organisation.
